These are the terms for using the Daily Science app. By using the app you agree to them.

The app

Daily Science is an independent, single-developer app that delivers one fact-checked science discovery a day, plus a browsable archive, to help people learn real, sourced science history. It is not affiliated with any university, research institution, or news organization referenced in its content.

Accuracy

Every entry is researched against peer-reviewed journals, historical archives, and verified primary sources, and dates/names/quotes are never invented. That said, the app is provided "as is" — if you spot an error, please report it (see Contact below) rather than relying on any single entry for a decision where accuracy matters critically (e.g. medical or legal decisions).

Subscriptions

Daily Science offers an optional Premium subscription (auto-renewing, billed through your Apple ID, managed via RevenueCat) that unlocks the full archive, collections, audio narration, the Space tab, and offline downloads. You can cancel anytime in your device's Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions. Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's own refund policy — we cannot issue refunds directly.

Acceptable use

Don't reverse-engineer, scrape, or redistribute the app's content in bulk, and don't use the app in any way that violates applicable law. The content archive, illustrations, and app design are the developer's intellectual property (except where individual hero images are explicitly credited to their public-domain/open-access source, per the in-app "Data Sources & Trust" and "Acknowledgements" screens).

No warranty

The app is provided without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. The developer is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the app.

Changes

These terms may be updated as the app changes (for example, if account features ship in the future). Continuing to use the app after an update means you accept the revised terms. The "Last updated" date above always reflects the current text.
